Cabo Verde’s Technology Park (TechPark CV), inaugurated on May 5, 2025, marks a pivotal step in the nation’s digital transformation, supported by a €51.85 million investment from the African Development Bank. Located in Praia and Mindelo, the park hosts 23 companies from seven countries, employing 311 professionals and offering state-of-the-art facilities, including a Data Centre and Incubation Center. Operating as a special economic zone, it provides tax exemptions to attract tech firms and foster sustainable economic growth.
The park aligns with green economy principles by promoting digital infrastructure that reduces carbon footprints through efficient resource use. Its training programs are expanding from 6 to 50 by 2025, having upskilled 2,769 individuals in AI and cybersecurity, empowering a digitally literate workforce. These efforts support inclusive growth and leverage Cabo Verde’s diaspora to build a resilient digital ecosystem.
Prime Minister Ulisses Correia e Silva envisions Cabo Verde as a global digital hub that exports sustainable digital services. With operational revenue soaring by 4,300% since 2023, TechPark CV exemplifies how green digital innovation drives economic prosperity and environmental sustainability.
